On the 11th-12th of February Jana Vitvarovaá and Jana Šimanová from Technical University of Liberec presented results from the DeepTechSeeds research on needs of Early-Career Researchers in deep-tech fields (AI/ML, robotics, 5G/6G, advanced materials) at the mentoring conference organised by the sister project CROSS project (Career Management Services for European Talents).
Our European survey and focus groups revealed a clear message:
🔹Stronger mentoring and supervision is one of the most impactful factors for improving ECR careers.
🔹Many researchers report unclear career paths, fragmented mentoring and limited academia–industry guidance.
